چکیده
The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a multi-copy immune gene family in vertebrates. Its genes are highly variable and code for antigen-presenting molecules. Characterization of MHC different species investigating the mechanisms that shape diversity an important goal understanding evolution biological diversity. Here we developed next-generation sequencing (NGS) protocol to genotype class I 326 Godlewski’s buntings (Emberiza godlewskii) sampled Western mountain area Beijing from 2014 2016. A total 184 functional alleles were identified, including both non-classical classical alleles, clustering into nine supertypes. Compared with other passerine birds, number per individual high (mean 16.1 ± 3.3, median 16). In addition, demonstrated signatures historical contemporary selection on genes. Reflecting selection, ten amino acid sites antigen-binding domain showed balancing eight which exhibit polymorphism. terms found specific supertypes nominally associated infection two malaria parasite lineages. These findings indicate action possibly also suggest negative frequency-dependent or fluctuating as possible mechanisms.

Diversity and selection of MHC class I genes in the vulnerable Chinese egret (Egretta eulophotes)
The genes of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) are important to vertebrate immune system. In this study, two new MHC class I genes, designated as Egeu-UAA and Egeu-UBA, were discovered in the vulnerable Chinese egret (Egretta eulophotes). Using a full length DNA and cDNA produced by PCR and RACE methods, these two MHC class I loci were characterized in the genome of the Chinese egret and w...
متن کاملDNA recombination and natural selection pressure sustain genetic sequence diversity of the feline MHC class I genes
Sequence comparisons of seven distinct MHC class I cDNA clones revealed that feline class I molecules have a remarkable similarity to human HLA genes in their organization of functional domains as well as in the nonrandom partitioning of genetic variability according to the functional constraints ascribed to different regions of the MHC molecule. The distribution of the pattern of sequence poly...
متن کاملGenetic diversity of myostatin and calpastatin genes in Zandi sheep
Myostatin (MSTN) is an inhibitor of skeletal muscle growth, and a mutation in the gene coding region leads to increased muscling. Calpastatin (CAST) is a specific inhibitor of the ubiquitous calcium-dependent proteases, µ-calpain and m-calpain, found in mammalian tissues. In this study, genomic DNA was extracted from Zandi sheep blood samples. Gel monitoring and spectrophotometer methods were u...
